Casio Men’s Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch #MDV102-1AV

Great Deal Casio Men’s Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch #MDV102-1AV

I’ve had this watch for a few weeks now. The time keeping is within specs, mine is running about 2-seconds fast per WEEK, well within the +- 20 seconds per MONTH listed by Casio. One feature I’ll mention that I didn’t see in the Amazon description or other reviews is the quick set date. I think that is a huge feature for a watch at this price point. The quick set date means that you can change the date on the watch without having to advance the hour hand past 12 midnight. I was very pleased to discover that when I received the watch. It is a very handsome watch. The matte black dial and white hands and markers make for very easy reading. The case looks and feels very solid. I like the band as well. The band material is stiff, but it feels robust and suits the watch quite well. The curve of the band where it meets the case looks good. I have no comfort issues with the band. There are a few minor “issues” with the watch. As another reviewer mentioned, the second hand doesn’t line up exactly with each second tick on the face. Also some of the indices on the bezel don’t line up with the face markers while some do. Now these are really minor offsets (less than a quarter minute), and the reason I noticed them is because the watch looks so nice I kept on looking at it. The glowing markers last through the night, they’re faint after 7 hours or so, but you can see them if you hold the watch up close to your face, that is of course if you don’t want to use the light which I wouldn’t suggest holding up close to your face to activate in the dark, it’s really bright.

I bought the watch based on the pictures on the Amazon website and all the positive reviews, and on having many Casio digital watches in the past. I am happy with my purchase

Second Hand Does Not Align With Minute Markers – A. Lasam – Burbank, CA United States
I ordered this watch based on the reviews, but when it was delivered, I was quite disappointed. I’m stickler for attention to detail and accuracy. This watch failed on those areas. The second hand did not line up with the minute markers, and I find that unacceptable. For some, it may not be important, but to me a watch is a tool and having a tool that gives faulty readings is unacceptable. I returned it the same day it was delivered. I guess Casio makes better digital than analog watches.

Good and cheap watch. – Gustavo Pineda – Guatemala, C.A.
It is a good watch, but definitely because of its price it suffers a lack of quality.
After three months of use it has many scratches on its surface.
Remember: It’s a cheap watch!

Great Deal Timex Men’s Expedition Premium Collection Chronograph Watch #T42351

I originally bought the Silver or stainless model of this watch. The indigo light went out after two months. Amazon told me they would credit my account for the full amount of purchase and no need to return it. I immediately ordered this watch (black)because I did like it better as it has more pizzaz on my wrist. Got my new watch and got the credit. Thank you Amazon and your customer service is outstanding for this transaction.

New watch keeps accurate time, is waterproof as I swim a lot and is easy to setup for the time. I don’t really use the chrono features but do love the indigo night light feature. The leather band looks good and the swimming and showers do not seem to hurt it. In time the band will fail, so I will buy a new band or a new watch as the costs are low for an excellent product. Remember, a watch is made basically to keep accurate time and to decorate your wrist. This new one does it in spades.

Handsome black face – Jonathan Selkirk – Darwin, NT, Australia
Beautiful looking watch, very easy alarm to set for an analogue watch, the night mode is an interesting feature; you press the centre crown and the face illuminates for about 4 seconds. I own 5 Timex expeditions and this is by far the best quality. I have owned this watch before (got stolen) so was extremely happy when I found it on Amazon. It has never let me down and the strap holds up well in salt water. Good watch for rough outdoor activites. I would have given this watch 5 stars if the strap was a bit more comfortable on my wrist, but others may find it perfect. I really can’t fault this watch otherwise.

Fragile dial window – Pedro B. C. Magalhaes –
I bought the watch a month ago and I have been using for work and leisure. Today I was very surprised when I dropped to the ground from a height of 1 meter and simply destroyed the mineral glass! The surprise and disappointment were great with the fragility of the dial window.

Casio Men’s Sports Chronograph Alarm 10-Year Battery Databank Watch #AW80D-2AV

Great Deal Casio Men’s Sports Chronograph Alarm 10-Year Battery Databank Watch #AW80D-2AV

I have been a big fan of Casio Telememo watches for some time and have owned several. This particular model represents a balance between features and looks; on the upside, it has the fancy Casio features you expect, plus it looks good. On the downside, the features are a little less convenient than on other Casios.

-Looks
Many have complained about the color being closer to purple. I disagree — it’s indeed a very dark and muted grayish blue, but I would not call it purple. The silver band, dark gray accents, and blue and gray-blue dial work well together and is the main reason I chose this over other Casio models.

The analog face is easy to read in the daytime, but at night the yellow light only weakly illuminates the analog hands (Timex’s Indiglo puts it to shame) and it doesn’t light the digital LCD display at all. Truth be told, though, even on other Telememo watches the backlight goes out when pressing buttons in the Telememo and other features, so really the main thing you lose here is the ability to see the date in the dark.

-Features
The Telememo function is here but is definitely a poor implementation. Scrolling through the database, you see only names, not numbers. You have to press the SET button (which is hard to remember) to see the number, and even then you don’t see the whole number — it is scrolled by slowly only 5 digits at a time. Still useful if you’re stuck somewhere without your cell phone, though.

Unlike some other Casios, you cannot set a date on the two alarms, only a time.

The World Time, stopwatch, and countdown timer function as usual.

Turning DST (Daylight Saving Time) on and off for the digital portion is relatively easy, but for the analog portion it’s slow and painful in the fall as you have to advance the hands around the dial 11 hours (Casio should really have linked the digital and analog clocks together!). Similarly, setting the analog hands initially also required a look in the book to realize the “H-S” mode is the “Hand Set” mode.

-Summary
Casio had to compromise on some features (light, Telememo) to squeeze them into an analog watch, so the user experience is not as polished as it is on other Casio models. Still, if you want something a little more stylish and a little less geeky than a full-digital Casio Telememo, this is a good choice, especially considering the low price.

Excellent watch – tennisdude – phoenix,az usa
The watch could be a little thinner but it is not a complaint. I really like it so far.

Excellent watch and a great price. – Julius Kovatch – Roseville, California USA
I have many watches and this is my everyday watch alternating with the light grey color dial model since I got one of each. I do not understand some people complaining about how difficult to use it and they have to carry the manual with them. I am retired, over 65 and do not have any problem to remember all the basic functions I need to use when I am on a trip. All in all it is a very nice looking watch, very accurate and an excellent value for the money buying it from a first class place and one of the most reliable source Amazon.com.
Highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a good loking watch at a very reasonable price for everyday use.

I got this watch for Christmas and have been very pleased with it. It’s comfortable to wear and all of the features seem to work great. I haven’t tested it to the max by any means, but it has a LOT of features for a very inexpensive watch. I just wanted a casual watch, so it met my requirements and then some. I especially like the dual time zone feature.

perfect for me. cheep, stylish, strong, waterproof. great for everyday use. i love the pink and gray. very easy to use and would buy it again.

Swimmer – Dolores Vaughn – Tucson, Arizona United States
I found the watch comfortable to wear, easy to read in the dark, but found it difficult to set the current time. Buttons too small for my finger or maybe my finger is too big for the buttons. Other than this, it’s a great deal.

Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch

Great Deal Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch

I chose the Invicta 8926 because after years of battery operated quartz watches I wanted to try an automatic movement and see how I liked it – at less than and with mostly positive reviews, the 8926 seems like the best way to do that. I’ve used the watch for 6 months and I’m extremely happy with it – like most people, it seems I got one of the good ones.

The 8926 looks and feels beautiful, and after 6 months of daily wear there are still no scratches in the stainless steel or the face (but I’m not rough on my watches). The bracelet is heavy but very comfortable, and I easily adjusted it to fit my wrist with a pin remover (also purchased on Amazon).

Right out of the box, the watch gained 6 to 7 seconds a day – not great accuracy, but about what I was expecting and easily something I could live with. But after a few months it seemed to be keeping better time – and when I rechecked the accuracy, it’s now consistently only losing 1 second a day. For a watch that looks this good, feels this comfortable and cost less than , that’s outstanding value.

Only a few minor complaints – the second hand sweep is not as smooth as a Swiss movement, but that doesn’t affect the function of the watch. The second hand doesn’t stop when you adjust the time, so synching the time exactly to the second is not easy (not a big concern for me, I don’t need to know the time to the nearest second). Also, as others have noted, the bezel does not turn very easily, but I just leave it in the 12 o’clock position anyway.

As I said, I purchased this Invicta as a way to try out an automatic watch – I am so satisfied with my 8926 that I expect it to be my everyday watch for quite a while.

Love the Watch / but Invicta Customer Service Is a Joke! – R. J. Wheeler – NEW YORK
I’ve never written a review on Amazon before but was compelled to after a my recent experience with Invicta. First, the watch is great. I’ve had it for over 3 years, and it’s held up great with tons of underwater use. I get compliments galore, and I get a real kick in revealing its price. (Sold my Rolex Mariner on eBay years ago…could have bought a half dozen or so Invictas with what I paid for in servicing alone) OK, here’s my gripe. Invicta customer service is a J-O-K-E!!!! My watch has been out of commission for a silly spring pin and cotter pin that broke on me. These items seem very specific to the watch, and I can’t get the right ones locally. So, I’ve been calling Invicta for the last 4 weeks, perhaps 2 to 3 times a week. Sometimes I get fumed, other times the absurdity drives me to laughter. I leave messages with the parts department; no one calls back. I get put on hold for 30 to 60 minutes, leaving the phone on speaker while I do other things. I get routed to wrong departments. There’s some kind of voice system that they have that doesn’t work. Today was the kicker. I finally got through to parts and explained exactly what I needed! The parts customer rep said “OK, please hold.” 60 minutes later, I had to hang up and go to work. … I have a watch I love but I can’t wear it because of in parts I can’t get. I was thinking about purchasing another Invicta but the principle of the matter stops me. So now I use my cell phone as my watch. Next step: written letter. Will update. Good luck to all.

Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch #BM8180-03E

Great Deal Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch #BM8180-03E

I had the Citizen Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch for four months. A simple watch was what I wanted to easily read the time and date. I thought about getting a fancy chronograph or slide rule but I figured I would seldom use them so all that extra clutter would take up space most of the time. The numbers are larger than what I’m used to but I have gotten used to them. It is silent so those clock ticking sound lovers should take note of it. The second hand doesn’t always align with the lines perfectly but it’s not enough to make me complain. The date needs to be adjusted every month or two. The instructions says to only change the date within a certain period of the day so the moving parts inside would not be damage. If I am in between 9pm and 4am and being impatient, what I do is change the time to be outside of the damage range, change the date, and then change the time back. Just remember that if you move back the time far enough, it may change the date by one day so you’d have to redo it again.

I bumped my watch on many hard surfaces and no cracks or scratches. I can’t say it’s without any blemishes but you’d have to be examine close enough to spot them. I don’t remember the last time I adjusted the time. Maybe a month ago? I usually try to time it with the atomic clock online. It’s about thirty seconds off since I last adjusted it. I could have been lazy the last time and not use the atomic clock. But now that it’s the end of the month, I’d have to change the date and just re-sync the time after that. I also like the illumination. Even in an area where it’s not brightly lit but still have adequate lighting, the hands will glow. Useful in the dark but I haven’t timed how long it lasts before it loses the glow.

Last thing I will talk about is the infamous strap. It does have a leather lining on the inside so it’s comfortable to wear. It was stiff at first but after a few days, the strap became more flexible. The stiffness wasn’t really a big problem to begin with. I’ve read complaints about the odor. I sweat in it all the time and got it wet from the rain and sink and it doesn’t smell. However, there are no hot summer days here to test the full out sweat-fest. The metal grommets are a problem though. I don’t mind the appearance. One is a tad loose and the other is tight. Over time, I notice the timepiece is sliding more to the side of my wrist. My wrist is already thin. Either my wrist is getting skinnier or the strap somehow stretched. I may have to move the watch back to the center of my wrist a few times a day. It can be inconvenient if I’m holding on to something and can’t twist my wrist far enough to read the time.

I still love my watch though. I’m not worried if it doesn’t match with what I’m wearing. I’m satisfied of its lower price than other Citizen watches and I don’t want to change multiple batteries over the years so I hope this canvas watch will be functional for a long time with its Eco-Drive technology.

Great watch! – TJ – Midwest
Just recieved this watch, so this is first impressions only! The watch seems very well made, like the classic military watches of the WWII era. Thin, light, tough, and a simple design.

Pros: Well made, simple layout, easy to read, Solar powered!, thin profile, accurate (it seems).

Improvements: The band.. reading reviews, you like it or hate it. I prefer a 22mm band width… I took of the 18mm canvas strap and put this watch on a ‘the band’ velcro band that was actually 22mm, but that is worn and fits fine. That allows me to use this watch on a wider, more comfortable, velcro band.

Also, my seconds hands do not line up with the tick marks. This seems like a common problem among about 1/2 the reviews. I know some very high end watches even have this problem, but it still bugs me. I have ordered another one, just to see if I get one that is perfect.

Other suggestion, is the watch is pretty small in diameter. I prefer bigger watches and I think this watch would be great in a larger diameter.. but I can’t hold that against it. If you have a smaller wrist and want a tough watch, this would fit the bill!

Overall, a very nice watch, especially for the price!

Great Deal Casio Men’s Ana-Digi 10-Year Battery Bracelet Watch #AW80D-1AV

I was looking for a “simple” watch. No frills. This watch actually has a lot of capabilities (stop watch, alarm, etc.) that I really don’t use (I use my iPhone), but at least they don’t get in the way. The only thing I do miss is a second hand. Had I noticed it didn’t have one, I probably would have looked more. But, I do like this watch.

ok for this price – Alexey Popkov – Russia
it is ok as a watch for this price, but the case is plastic and not reliable enough.

Nice watch, but a 10 month (not 10 year) battery – David W. Jordan – Kenosha, WI USA
I really like(d) this watch. Looks nice for the money, but the battery died after 10 months and who wants to got through the hassle of trying to get warranty service on a [...] watch? Might buy another anyway.

It features an analog watch face that’s supplemented by a digital window at the bottom, which can be set for a second time zone. It also offers a world time function with 29 time zones (30 cities), city code display, and daylight saving time on/off. Other timing features include a countdown timer (up to 24 hours), a 1/100-second digital stopwatch (with elapsed time, lap time, split time, and 1st/2nd place times), and three daily alarms (one with snooze).

Classically masculine, it has a round watch case with gray screw-down accents on the top of the case and a triple-link stainless steel bracelet band. The black dial is supplemented with luminous hands and hour markers, Arabic numerals around the outside of the dial, and small minute indexes. With the 30-page databank capability, you can store phone numbers and quick reminders (with up to 8 letters and 16 numerals per page). Other features include a 10-year battery life (CR2025 battery), auto calendar (programmed to the year 2099), LED light with Afterglow, and water resistance to 50 meters–suitable for swimming but not for diving.

Great Deal Casio Men’s Ana-Digi Electro-Luminescent Sport Watch #AQ160WD-1BV

My watch just died today after 4 years of use, so I decided a review was in order! This watch has everything you could possibly want – analog + digital, time zones, timer, stop watch, multiple alarms, lights. Feature wise it is perfect. However I do think some of the specifications are wrong. The band is far too light to be steel, and it’s not magnetic, so I’m inclined to believe that it is aluminum. Also I’m not sure how true the watch face is a mineral material, as mine got many scratches over the year. If the watch had better build quality, I would get another.

this the better purchase – BomberoMTB – Grecia, CRC
This watch is beautiful, when seen at any time, even the sun, at night light makes it look so nice.
it’s a great purchase

Not what is described – D. Hoover – Mikado, MI USA
I purchase watches with full metal cases because I am hard on them. The product description says it has a stainless steel case. This is misleading. The bulk of the case is plastic with a thin layer of metal over the plastic. Not a plating, but a thin metal case with the plastic case on the inside. Also there seemed to be a large amount of plastic and rubber involved with the watch band to case connection. The watch only weighs a few ounces, but is on the large size giving the impression of a very cheap watch. The kind you get for free when you order something from a catalog. This watch might survive a white collar lifestyle, but anyone that works with his hands would destroy this in weeks or shorter.

As for the timepiece itself, it is legible, but I only had it for a few minutes before arranging for its return, so I have no idea how accurate it is.

Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Chronograph Canvas Watch #AT0200-05E

Great Deal Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Chronograph Canvas Watch #AT0200-05E

I got this watch two months ago for Christmas. Since then I have been really happy with it. The militaristic look is a cool contrast to my clean cut/ modern wardrobe. I have only worn metal bands in the past, but the canvas/ leather one is really comfortable. And I like that I can adjust the size when my writs swells in the heat.

The chronograph is good, and I like how the large red second hand is the stop-watch second hand. I have noticed that when I zero the chronograph, the red second hand naturally rests between 59 and 00 seconds. This kind of annoys me, but not enough to take it in for repair.

If I could, I would make two changes to the watch. I would rather the 24 hour dial on the face be a second time zone. And it would be cool if when you hold the reset “B” button, it showed the percentage charge of the battery. Then this would be the perfect watch!

As for the battery, I live in Canada. I spend less than an hour a day outside, and always wear long sleeves and a coat. I have had no problem maintaining the battery at full change.

Overall: great watch for the price!

Good casual watch…change the band – Steven A. Delvecchio – NY United States
Nice watch after you give it a good charge. Chronograph works nicely. Changed the band to a Hadley-Roma Men’s 20-mm Black Carbon Fiber With Leather Backing Watch Strap #MSM840RA-200…now it looks and feels like it should,..4 stars because I had to do the band change (another ), otherwise I would have gone with 5.

Decent watch if you have a slim wrist – apex –
I probably should have paid more attention to the other reviews of this watch, but it looked so nice in the pictures and was rated highly by other reviewers that I bought it, despite some reviewers saying the band was short. Well the band is VERY SHORT. It is not like I have a super thick wrist but the strap was on its last hole for me. Plus, the holes have metal grommets so the holes are farther apart than on most watch bands, limiting fit choices. Sure, I could have swithed bands, but I liked the cloth–that is why I bought the watch. Also, I saw a Citizen replacement cloth strap and it is !!! I was not going to throw away such an expensive strap. Finally, the watch face is totally flat–no depth at all–so it looks cheaper in person than in the pictures. For a couple of reasons, therefore, I can’t recommend this watch. If you do like it, be sure you have a small wrist.

Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Chronograph Canvas Watch #AT0200-05E Overviews

Keep time with military precision while adding a unique edge to your wardrobe with the Citizen Eco-Drive Men’s Chronograph Canvas Watch. Featuring the clean look and the rugged dependability of a stainless steel case and bezel, this timepiece relies on the unique Citizen Eco-Drive movement system, so you never need to replace its battery. Eco-Drive is an advanced, technical system that uses a thin solar panel under the dial to convert light energy from any source into electrical energy used to run your watch. Also playing a key role in this unique system is a special energy storage cell that greatly increases the efficiency and dependability of using light as a power source. As an added benefit, Eco-Drive power doesn’t utilize the harmful chemicals contained in traditional batteries, so it’s an excellent environmental choice as well.

The watch features a black dial with easy-to-read Arabic numerals in white, a convenient date window at four o’clock, a slim second tracker on the outer dial, and three subdials that provide chronograph functionality along with the ability to track hours on a 24-hour scale. The dial is further offset with luminescent minute and hour hands and a sweeping red seconds hand. Even the cool canvas band on this watch offers ultra-detailed construction. In addition to featuring a sturdy buckle clasp that relies on steel-reinforced eyelets, the band is backed with leather, which provides added durability and results in a pleasant feel against your wrist. This versatile men’s watch is water resistant to 330 feet.

*Charging information: Functions of this watch may not work correctly if the watch is not charged, or charged properly. Please see the full Technical Information.

To set the time *(refer to full-setting instructions here: Manual ):

  1. Pull the crown out to the time correction position when the second hand has reached the 0 seconds position.
  2. Turn the crown to set the time. The 24-hour hand moves in conjunction with the hour hand. Pay attention to AM and PM when setting the time.
  3. Securely return the crown to the normal position in synchronization with a telephone or other time service.

To set the date:
  1. Pull the crown out to the date correction position.
  2. Turn the crown to the right to set the date. The crown turns freely and the date does not change if the crown is turned to the left.
  3. If the date is set while the time on the watch is between the hours of about 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, the date may not change on the following day. If this happens, set the date after temporarily moving the hands to a time other than between the above times.

Using the Chronograph*:

The chronograph function of this watch is able to measure and display elasped time up to 59 minutes, 59 seconds in 1 second units. After 60 minutes have elasped, each of the chronograph hands automatically stop at the 12:00 position.

    Chronograph Timing:

  1. Start timing by pressing button (A). The chronograph is repeatedly started and stopped by pressing button (A).
  2. Pressing button (B) resets the chronograph to 0 seconds.

*Note: Do not subject the chronograph to strong impacts while chronograph timing is in progress. Subjecting the watch to a strong impact during chronograph timing or when the chronograph has stopped automatically after 60 minutes have elasped can cause the chronograph minute hand to shift out of position. If this happens, press button (B) to reset to the 12:00 position before using the chronograph again.
